You already know how big and important social media is for your blog. With enormous growth over the years, social media marketing can increase your site traffic and content shares in a big way!
Most websites owners create amazing social media profiles on multiple networks but fall short when it comes to posting updates and engaging with others.
That means no shares and traffic to your blog.
The good news is that social media scheduling tools are available for you to easily manage multiple accounts.
What is Social Media Marketing?
Social media marketing is a method used by online marketers to get more traffic, shares and likes from social media networks.
In the same way that people search Google for information, they also search social media sites to find content. Social media sites help people to find content that they can like and share with their friends.
If people want to learn more, they can follow your link back to your website or other landing page.
The more consistently you post in social media, the more chance your content will be discovered by others.
But…. how do you keep up with all the posting you need to do on various social networks?
That’s simple: scheduling tools!
What is Social Media Scheduling?
Specialized tools can help you manage your social media marketing. You can schedule posts ahead of time to your social media channels.
You don’t have to be concerned with manually posting at a specific time each day. Many scheduling tools will do that for you.
Most popular social media scheduling tools also help you analyze the performance of your content.
Best Tools to Boost Your Social Media Productivity
Now that you know the importance of social media tools, how do you find and choose the best one?
I’ve rounded up 7 of the top social media scheduling tools for you.
Let’s dig in.
SocialOomph
You’ll easily schedule updates to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Tumblr, RSS feeds, blogs, and Plurk!
You can also use SocialOomph to find people to follow and keep track of your social media activity.
They offer a range of plans depending on your needs and social networks.
SocialOomph is not fancy looking but don’t be fooled. They provide a number of features to help you grow your social media presence.
My favorite is the Twitter auto-follow feature. It’s been modified over the years due to Twitter policies but it still saves a ton of time.
You can set up “follow-back” for anyone who follows you on Twitter. Then you have to manually approve new followings. You can choose to follow back, ignore, block or spam.
You can find new people to follow too! On Twitter, you can usually expect that about 25% of the people you follow will follow you back. It’s a great way to grow your followers.
Although I use it mainly for Twitter, you can also create and schedule posts to other connected social media networks.
Instead of logging into and creating posts in multiple social media accounts, you can do it all from SocialOomph.
ManageFlitter
If you are big Twitter user, you will love ManageFlitter! Managing your Twitter account will become faster and more efficient.
You can find people to connect with or find out who is not following you. With just a few clicks, you can unfollow anyone who hasn’t followed you back.
This is super important because Twitter has a follower-following ratio policy.
You can also schedule posts, see which followers are active, who hasn’t tweeted in a long time and decide who to keep following.
The good news? It’s free to get started!

Missinglettr
I recently started using Missinglettr and have been pleasantly surprised! Missinglettr helps you create strategic, automated social media campaigns that drive traffic for an entire year!
I know, right! A whole year.
When you create a campaigns in Missinglettr, it will drip the content out over a year. What I love is that each piece of content is different and simple to change!
You don’t have too much to figure out. When you set up your account, you just add your blog’s RSS feed and connect the social media accounts you want to be scheduled.
It works with Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus and Facebook, and recently Pinterest.
Missinglettr takes it from there. When a new post is detected through your RSS feed, Missinglettr creates a campaign which includes various excerpts from your post.
The excerpts are unique for each piece of scheduled content and can include text only, text and image or they have these really cool speech bubbles!
You review the year-long drip social media campaign after it’s automatically created. Various excerpts are extracted from your blog post, but you can scroll through them and select something different if you want to.
I’ve been testing it on one of my blogs and so far I love it! It’s one of the most automated social media tools I’ve used yet.

Tailwind
TailWind is a social media scheduling tool for Instagram and Pinterest. It’s the perfect social media tool to schedule posts, monitor conversations, extend your reach and analyze your results.
Tailwind has so many features I can’t possibly list them all here! It’s Pinterest approved too which makes a difference.
You can also schedule up to 100 pins without ever signing into your Pinterest account.
Scheduling Pins with Tailwind is a great timesaver. When you sign up for Tailwind, you’ll install the Chrome extension (I use Chrome browser).
If you log into your Pinterest account, you can use this extension to schedule a repin of any Pin in Pinterest. It’s so easy, seriously!
They also have a cool Tribes feature. You can share content with other users. Everyone can add content to the tribe, which is really like a Tailwind group board.
Since all the people in the Tribe have access to the content that is posted, anyone can add that content to their scheduled queue.
Tail wind is one of the most powerful and feature rich scheduling tools for Pinterest. Plus you can start for free without a credit card!
Social Jukebox
I’ve used Social Jukebox for a long time and really like it! This automated social media tool let’s you create content and schedule when you want it to post.
You can post to multiple social networks including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
A fun feature is that if you have no content (for whatever reason), you can choose pre-created content. For example there is a series of quotes content that will post on a regular basis to your social media account (in case you had nothing to post.)
It uses a jukebox model which you load your content into. I found that a little odd at first but it works!
You get access to a jukeboxe library. These are full of content that you can schedule, or you can create your own. Either way, you can auto-schedule or make a specific date and time for your posts.
It’s a fun scheduling tool for social media that gets the job done!
